I am thrilled to share the full performance video of my Hollywood Concerto for Bass Trombone and Orchestra, premiered this past November by the Texas Medical Center Orchestra, conducted by the wonderful Libi Lebel and featuring the incredible Ilan Morgenstern on bass trombone.
This concerto was written for Ilan, whose artistry, sound, and musical fearlessness shaped every note of the piece. From the first conversations about the commission, I knew this work needed to live at the intersection of cinematic sweep and deeply personal expression, and hearing it brought to life by this orchestra was truly special.
My sincere thanks to Libi Lebel and the Texas Medical Center Orchestra for their commitment, musicianship, and care in presenting this premiere, and to Ilan for trusting me with such a meaningful collaboration.
