Hollywood Concerto Premieres on Tuesday

I’m thrilled to announce the world premiere of my “Hollywood Concerto for Bass Trombone and Concert Band” at the University of Michigan on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Ilan Morgenstern and I first collaborated years ago on a solo trombone piece called “Aficionado”, and we’ve been talking about a concerto ever since. This project finally gave us the chance to make that vision a reality, and I couldn’t be more excited for Ilan to bring it to life with the University Concert Band under the direction of Courtney Snyder.
